What Pro does, in detail: Read the Pro handbook

Build or buy

Drawing a shape is the easy part

A map editor that teams rely on needs more than a draw tool. These are the parts that take the time when you build it yourself.

Shared borders

Keeping neighbouring areas consistent means storing every shared border once, so one edit never leaves a gap or an overlap.

Exact undo

Undo has to restore the previous state exactly, including every neighbour that an edit touched.

More than one map library

Teams change map libraries. Adapters that share one editing core keep the tools alike on Leaflet, OpenLayers and MapLibre GL.

FAQ

Pricing questions

What has been decided so far, and what has not.

Is there a free version?
Yes. The free packages of vectorstream are under the MIT license and hold all tools, the topology, GeoJSON and image export, the three map adapters, the toolbar, five languages and two kinds of rule between layers, without a license key.
What does Pro cost?
vectorstream has not decided any price. Pro is priced on request, and no amount is published on this site.
Which license applies to Free and to Pro?
The free packages of vectorstream are under the MIT license. Pro is a separate package with a proprietary license agreement of its own, which is a draft and is not published yet.
Which map libraries are covered?
The adapters of vectorstream for Leaflet, OpenLayers and MapLibre GL are part of the free packages and run the same editing core. Pro plugs into the editor, so it works on each of them.
When will pricing be final?
No date has been set. vectorstream is in pre-release, and the pricing page shows no amount for Pro until a price is decided.
Can I evaluate Pro before buying?
vectorstream can be tried in the playground, and the free packages need no key. Terms for evaluating Pro have not been announced.
